聽這首歌的時候讓我想起了另外一首《I don’t like Mondays》
中學時從BON JOVI的《One Wild Night Live》裏聽到這首歌的時候
只是覺得有些親切 因為上學的日子太難熬了
上課的時候和同學聊天、看雜誌、聽CD、睡覺
就盼著回家和放假
後來找了許多BON JOVI的唱片都沒有錄音室的版本
今天偶然才看到原來他們是翻唱的The Boomotown Rat
而這首歌的背後竟然是一個這樣的故事

Brenda Spencer — 第一位製造校園槍擊案的兇手

1979年1月29日
16歲的Brenda手持父親贈送的聖誕禮物—一支含望遠鏡的長槍
贈禮包含500發子彈
在San Diego的家外面
Brenda向對街的克裏夫蘭小學(Cleveland Elementary School)瞄準定位
等到校長開校門、學生走進校門時 便開始開火

而這對於Brenda來說 僅僅是“有趣的”遊戲
玩累了 她就返回家中等著員警找上門
接著又與聞訊來的員警進行了長達6個小時的對峙
在總共6個半小時的射擊遊戲中
打死校長和守衛、傷及8名6-12歲學童和1名員警

在對峙期間
Brenda說出了開槍原因 只有四個字：
“I don’t like Mondays”

後來她因2項一級謀殺罪名和9項攻擊罪名成立
被判處了25年監禁
Brenda從未為自己的行為表示過懺悔
據說 她最近在與室友鬧翻了之後
在胸前刺下兩個字：
“Courage” “Pride”
